None of us should take anything for granted, show your loved ones that you love them. Heart goes out to Isla’s family but more importantly Isla, who has not had the chance of a life, or kids and the joys and heartbreak they bring. Life can deal you a shitty hand.

Echo what Mace said

We complain about a game of football, this poor woman has no control over her precious daughters life.

Heartbreaking video, just hope the wonderful medical teams can keep Isla as comfortable as possible

My little brother got cancer in his leg, aged 8. He fought for three years, but it finally finished its wicked work when he was just 11.

I was 23 when he passed, and what I said then only gets stronger every day that passes, that if I die tomorrow, I can have no complaints, because I had lived a life worth enjoying, but I’d have to live a thousand years to live with such spirit as he did for those 3 years.

Isla has shown that same spirit, that shames most of us with our petty complaints.

Life is not fair, it’s cruel and it doesn’t give a shit about justice.

My heart, though broken, goes out to the Catons, who have been savaged by bad luck. I wish them all the strength in the world to come through this trial, and out the other side. They, like me with my loved one, have a duty to live their lives well and to the full, on behalf of Isla.

Bless you, little Hammerette.

I'm genuinely sorry that you and yours had that happen to you, and can not begin to understand the devastation it must have caused to so many.

Not prayed in decades, but have put one in for Isla, asking her to be looked after wherever she is now.

Heartbreaking stuff. This has hit me hard as I lost my only brother to cancer earlier in March. He was only 53 but had led a life at least, unlike poor Isla.

I empathise with her and the family as I have gone through all those phases of fight, hope, setbacks, renewed hope to the point where we knew there wasn't any hope left and death was imminent in weeks, then suddenly only days...

May that family find all the strength and support they need in this dark hour.

That really was a tough watch, poor Isla. Can't imagine how hard it must be for her family to stay positive for their little girl knowing the awful truth.
